The graduate program "Sprachliche Repräsentationen und ihre
Interpretation" ("Linguistic Representations and Their
Interpretation") is pleased to announce the availability of one
postdoctoral scholarship which will start on November 1st 2004.
The graduate program is a structured doctoral program in theoretical
and and computational linguistics at the University of Stuttgart. The
participating lecturers are: Artemis Alexiadou, Rainer Bäuerle,
Grzegorz Dogil, Ulrich Heid, Klaus von Heusinger, Hans Kamp, Bernd
Möbius, Jürgen Pafel, Uwe Reyle, Christian Rohrer, and Achim Stein.

The postdoctoral scholarship is intended for an outstanding researcher
who has completed a doctoral degree and is at or near the beginning of
their research careers. A record of research and publications in the
subject areas of the graduate program is essential. To apply please
send the following documents:
(1) a c.v. including the names and email addresses of 2 people who
know your work well and will be available as references.
(2) a 1-2 page description of your research interests
(3) your Ph.D. thesis and other representative recent work.
Applications are accepted in German and English.
Applications should be sent to the Head of the program (currently
Artemis Alexiadou). Please arrange for the two letters of reference to
be sent directly to the Head of the program. Closing date for
applications is May 1st, 2004.
