We'd like to remind readers that the responses to queries are usually
best posted to the individual asking the question. That individual is
then strongly encouraged to post a summary to the list. This policy was
instituted to help control the huge volume of mail on LINGUIST; so we
would appreciate your cooperating with it whenever it seems appropriate.
In addition to posting a summary, we'd like to remind people that it
is usually a good idea to personally thank those individuals who have
taken the trouble to respond to the query.
To post to LINGUIST, use our convenient web form at

I imagine many of you, like myself, are currently using some type of
reference/bibliography/citation management software. Finding such apps
seems to be difficult enough, and finding authoritative comparisons is
even more daunting. If you are using or have recently used an
application of this type, please send an e-mail to
dwr4321 at exchange.uta.edu
telling the specific application and version number with which you are
familiar. Two or three sentences stating your satisfaction with the
application, as well as its pros and cons, would be helpful as well. I
will be pleased to submit a summary of the information given me to
LinguistList.

Subject: Text Typology and Linguistic Structures
I am in need of some information regarding how to identify linguistic
structures which are difficult to translate in different languages
using either text typology or other means. Are there certain
linguistic structures that are present in many differernt languages?
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
