Description:
The Department of Linguistics at the University of Michigan invites
applications for a one-year Visiting Assistant Professor/Lecturer position
in phonetics beginning in September 2005. There is a possibility that this
appointment may be extended for an additional year. We encourage
applications from outstanding specialists in any area of phonetics. A
secondary specialization that combines phonetics with another area of the
discipline (e.g., laboratory phonology, sociophonetics, or
psycholinguistics) is desirable, but not required. Applicants should have
completed the Ph.D. by the time of the appointment.
A letter of application providing details of research interests and
teaching experience, a CV, one representative publication, and three
letters of recommendation should be sent to the address below. The search
committee will begin to examine dossiers January 5th, 2005 and will continue
