Description:
The English Department of the Friedrich-Schiller-
Universität Jena invites applications for two junior
research positions (1/2 BAT IIa-O) in the area of English
linguistics. The positions are initially restricted to two
years.
The candidates should have a background in
functional/cognitive linguistics and some experience in
corpus linguistics and/or psycholinguistics.
Knowledge of quantitative research methods is desirable.
He or she must have an MA in English Linguistics or an
equivalent degree.
The positions involve:
1) work towards a Ph.D. in English Linguistics
2) participation in the department's research activities
3) teaching load of one class per semester.
The language of instruction is English.
Candidates are requested to send their CV, a cover letter,
