1. Enjeux théoriques : 
La notion de discours est liée à celle de Cohérence, qui jouerait un rôle
équivalent à celui de la grammaticalité pour la phrase. La cohérence
demeure une notion préthéorique centrale pour les prolongements actuels de
nombreux domaines de la linguistique, notamment en pragmatique. Des notions
telles que ''mémoire discursive'', ''anaphore discursive'', ''référents de
discours'', ''connecteurs pragmatiques'', ''cohésion sémantique'' sont des
outils métalinguistiques indispensables pour valider une définition d ela
cohérence comme propriété définitoire du discours. 

2. Questions et pistes de recherche :
* La cohérence est-elle une catégorie scientifiquement pertinente, dans
quel programme de recherche peut-elle s'inscrire ? 
* Une modélisation des marques linguistiques de la cohérece est elle-possible? 
* Sur quoi peut-on fonder les jugements intuitifs de la cohérence ? 
* Quel est le rapport d'implication entre cohésion et cohérence ?
* La cohérence peut-elle être utilisée comme le ressort d'un principe
cognitif ? 
* Quelles contributions apportent les analyses des connecteurs
pragmatiques, des temps verbaux, des expressions référentielles à une
définition de la cohérence comme principe de discours ? 
* Que serait alors cette unité de communication supralinguistique ? 

Le colloque se propose d'aborder ces questions soit directement par des
contributions théoriques, soit par des approches descriptives empiriques de
