We are pleased to announce the 1st annual Rovereto Workshop on Bilingualism.
The Workshop will be held October 13-16 this year (2005) at the Laboratorio di
Scienze Cognitive at the University of Trento in Rovereto (Italy). The topic for
the inaugural workshop is ''Representation and Control in L1 and L2: Functional
and Neural Perspectives''. The goal for this annual workshop is to bridge the
cognitive and neural perspectives on bilingual language processing and to foster
discussion and productive collaborations between senior and junior researchers.
The invited speakers for this inaugural meeting are: Jubin Abutalebi, Karen
Emmorey, Matthew Finkbeiner, David Green, Judith Kroll, Andrea Mechelli, Lee
Osterhout, Christophe Pallier, Nuria Sebastian-Galles and Walter van Heuven.
A poster session, a roundtable discussion and several social events have also
been planned. More information can be found on the Workshop's website:

If you would like to attend the Rovereto Workshop on Bilingualism, you must
register on the workshop's website. In line with the goals of the workshop,

are interested in and/or who are currently investigating different aspects of
bilingualism from a functional or neural perspective are encouraged to attend.
