Meeting Description: 

To celebrate 10 years of the journal English Language and Linguistics and the publication of an all-new History of the English Language in 2006, we are holding a three-day conference entitled Directions in English Language Studies (DELS) which is intended to focus on current and, especially, future directions in English Language research, both synchronic and diachronic. 

The line-up of papers for Directions in English Language Studies (DELS, Manchester, 6-8 April 2006) has now been decided and all submitters of abstracts informed.  A list of papers will be added to the conference website soon, and the abstracts themselves will be posted after 5 January.  Registration for the conference is now open, with discounts for early registration available up to 16 January 2006.  The 3rd Circular with registration form is available for download on the conference website (http://tinyurl.com/b3enr).
