Second Call for Abstracts

Deadline for abstracts: 18th April 2005
Notification of acceptance: 1st July 2005

We are pleased to announce that the first ever Oxford Linguistics
Postgraduate Conference - LingO - will take place at the University of
Oxford, Mansfield College, on 23rd-24th September 2005. The purpose of the
conference is to provide postgraduates with an opportunity to present their
research.

Abstracts are invited from any linguistic subfield, especially the fields
of syntax, semantics, phonetics, phonology, morphology and computational
linguistics.

Please see the Presentation Guidelines on our website
(http://www.ling-phil.ox.ac.uk/events/lingo) for further information and to
submit an abstract.

Authors are invited to submit abstracts for talks or poster presentations.
Talks will be allotted 30 minutes for presentation and 10 minutes for
discussion. Speakers will also be invited to submit their papers or posters
for publication in our online conference proceedings.

When submitting, please:

*Indicate clearly whether you are applying to give a talk or a poster
presentation.

*Send 2 copies of your abstract (one with your name and affiliation and
one without).

*	Name the files according to the following convention:

*The abstract must conform with the Word template provided on the website
(http://www.ling-phil.ox.ac.uk/events/lingo). To use the Word template,
download and save the file to your desktop. To write the abstract, double

differently when we open the files, please include ps or pdf versions
against which we can check the formatting. Instructions for making pdf
