We'd like to remind readers that the responses to queries are usually
best posted to the individual asking the question. That individual is
then strongly encouraged to post a summary to the list. This policy was
instituted to help control the huge volume of mail on LINGUIST; so we
would appreciate your cooperating with it whenever it seems appropriate.
In addition to posting a summary, we'd like to remind people that it
is usually a good idea to personally thank those individuals who have
taken the trouble to respond to the query.

I am interested in the Coosan languages (Hanis and Miluk), once spoken
around Coos Bay in Oregon. I am looking for the following:
(a) materials (published or otherwise) on these languages,
(b) names of linguists who have published research on these languages.
If anyone out there can help me find materials or other researchers, I
would appreciate it.

Dear fellow linguists,
I recently posted a message concerning theses which deal with OT approaches
to L2 syntax. I would also be interested in details of any other resources
in this area, particularly journal articles and book chapters published
since around 2000. A summary bibliography will of course follow.
Thanks in anticipation,
Gavin Austin
