We'd like to remind readers that the responses to queries are usually
best posted to the individual asking the question. That individual is
then strongly encouraged to post a summary to the list. This policy was
instituted to help control the huge volume of mail on LINGUIST; so we
would appreciate your cooperating with it whenever it seems appropriate.
In addition to posting a summary, we'd like to remind people that it
is usually a good idea to personally thank those individuals who have
taken the trouble to respond to the query.

Subject: How to Find Instruments, Tests, Questionnaires
Hello Sir/Madam,
I am a research assistant at Ataturk University in Turkey. I will start the PhD
program at ELT Departmant of the Education Faculty. I want to study
Linguistics, in particular, Applied Linguistics. I need to learn how I can find
tests, questionnaires, measures, scales, etc. which I will need in my studies
and research on foreign language teaching, language teaching and learning. I
think you could help in finding the instruments I need.
Yours sincerely,
Savaþ

I would like to be pointed to languages that have more than one word for ''if''.
I'm less interested in contrasts of the ''if'' vs. ''when'' kind, and more
interested in contrasts that have to do with two words that really are both
translated as ''if''. Thanks!
