Description:
Instructor Position Offered at The School of International Liberal Studies
(SILS) at Waseda University, Tokyo Japan.
SILS was established in April 2004 as an international School offering a
thorough education in languages and the liberal arts, with English as the core
language of instruction.
Details of the Position:
1) Field of Specialization: English-language Education (including Composition
Studies and Testing).
2) Number of faculty to be hired: Two
3) Position Level: Instructor (Full-time). The period of employment is from 1st
of April, 2006 to 31st of March, 2007. However, it is possible to renew the
contract annually up to three years.
4) Salary and Wages: Salary and other benefits will be fixed according to the
regulations of the University.
5). Date and conditions of employment: In principle, from April 2006.
6) Necessary Qualifications:
a) Preference will be given to an individual with a Ph.D., although those having
completed all doctoral course work or with similar qualifications may apply.
b) Teaching experience at the college level, with the ability to lecture in English.
c) Some Japanese proficiency is preferable.
