Description:
The Department of English at Cologne University, Germany, has an opening
for a Research Associate (wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter BAT IIa) with
specialization in Second Language Acquisition/English starting October 1, 2005.
This is a fractional position (50%). Appointments will be made for a period
of three years in the first instance and may be extended for a further
three years. This position is suitable for candidates wishing to pursue a
postdoc or PhD in Second Language Acquisition Research/Syntax and Morphology.
Duties:
Teach one course per semester (2hrs/ week), research in a project on SLA,
and a limited amount of office duties (includes reading of graduate papers).
Profile:
Candidates should have excellent command of English and a completed MA
and/or PhD in English linguistics, psycholinguistics, or a related field.
