The Discourse of Organic Food Promotion: language, intentions and effects.

Based in Milton Keynes
One-year contract

Applications are invited for a full-time one-year post as researcher on this
ESRC funded project investigating the language and discourse of organic food
promotion.  The research will be carried out using a combination of linguistic
and sociological techniques.  You will work with Professor Guy Cook and Dr.
Peter Robbins.  You will collect and analyse promotional materials, conduct and
record interviews, arrange and moderate focus groups, and participate in the
writing up of results for publication and conferences. Work will begin in
January 2006 or as soon as possible thereafter.  You should have at least a good
first degree in linguistics, sociology or other relevant discipline.  A higher
degree and relevant research or work experience will be an advantage.
