Description:
The Department of Linguistics at the University of Toronto invites applications
for a tenure track position at the Assistant Professor level in Semantics,
effective July 1 2006. Qualifications required are a PhD in Linguistics with
primary specialization in formal Semantics, a record of excellence in research,
and evidence of effectiveness in teaching. Research interest in syntax and the
syntax/semantics interface is desirable. Responsibilities include teaching and
supervision at the graduate and undergraduate levels. Salary will be
commensurate with qualifications and experience. Please submit letter of
application, curriculum vitae, sample of research, and teaching evaluations (if
available) to the address below.
Three letters of reference should also be submitted, under separate cover.
Deadline for receipt of applications is December 1, 2005. For further
