The Department of Linguistics at Seoul National Univ. is looking for a
syntactician, the appointment to begin in February, 2006 (or possibly in August
2006).
Candidates are required to hold the PhD at the time of application and to show
strong capability in research and teaching of syntax (and related areas). In
addition to a specialization in syntax the candidates should have interests in
research/teaching of some other related areas of linguistics.
Applications should include a CV (with a full list of publications), a statement
of research/teaching plans, samples of recent publications (at least two and no
more than four research papers published in the last three years), transcripts,
career certificates, and at least two letters of reference. The deadline for
receipt of application materials is November 7, 2005. Candidates are expected to
have interview and job-talk in early December, 2005.
