Subject: Igbo Language Survey
As part of preparing the unpublished work of the late Professor Kay
Williamson in Nigeria, the Trustees of the Kay Williamson Educational
Foundation are looking for a young scholar to complete the survey of Igboid
languages in Nigeria for which only partial or no documentation exists.
Anyone interested should:
a) have proven experience of transcribing tone languages, preferably African
b) should have field experience of working under difficult conditions
The Foundation would pay all reasonable field expenses plus an honorarium
to be agreed based on previous experience
As long as the data required for the project is collected, the researcher
would be free to collect any other data for their own purposes and to
analyse the data they collect for academic publication.
