We are seeking participants for an online graphical similarity experiment for
Japanese. We need a wide range of participants, including non-speakers of
Japanese, second-language learners, and native speakers. The experiment takes
about 20 minutes to complete, and can be found at:
http://www.foks.info/experiment
The aim of this experiment is to determine how likely learners of Japanese are
to mistake one kanji for another at a glance. Since actual error data is
difficult to come by, this experiment instead collects graphical similarity
judgements from learners/speakers of different backgrounds and proficiencies.
More details can be found on the experiment's web page. Please take a few
minutes to participate.
