4th Annual Graduate Workshops on First Language Attrition, Jan. 13-17 2006
Title: Workshop on theoretical models in language attrition research
Keynote speakers: Michael Ullman (Georgetown University) and Ianthi Tsimpli (Aristotle University of Thessaloniki)
Deadline for registration: Dec. 1st, 2005 (you can register by sending an email to ms.schmid at let.vu.nl)
Fees: Participation will be free, travel grants are available.
Preliminary programme:
Saturday, 14.1.: Presentations on individual projects, progress over the past year, problems and questions (if there are too many presentations, we may have to start on Friday afternoon already)
Sunday, 15.1.: Unstructured discussion/debate at a venue to be determined
Monday, 16.1.: Morning: Lecture on Declarative/procedural knowledge and attrition, by Michael Ullman. Discussion
Afternoon: Lecture on Minimalism and attrition, by Ianthi Tsimpli. Discussion.
Tuesday, 17.1.: Residual issues (we will finish around lunchtime)
The workshop is scheduled to take place after the end of the first week of the LOT Winterschool

at which there is also a course on L1 attrition, so that participants of this course will have the opportunity to attend the workshop.
