Abstract:
This volume contains 12 papers selected from the Second Workshop on Spanish
Sociolinguistics, which was held at the University at Albany on March
25-26, 2004. The authors discuss sociolinguistic issues within
Spanish-speaking communities and countries around the world, including
language policy, code-switching, borrowing, differences in phonetics,
phonology, and syntax, language use issues, and much more. Most papers are
written in English, and several are written in Spanish. The complete table
of contents is available at http://www.lingref.com/cpp/wss/2/ along with
abstracts and the actual papers in PDF format.
This volume has been published by Cascadilla Proceedings Project, a new
imprint created by Cascadilla Press. Proceedings from Cascadilla
