Description:
Salary negotiable in Professorial Range (minimum £44,818 p.a.)
Applications are invited for a Chair in Bilingualism to be held in the
Department of Linguistics and English Language. The successful candidate
will have an international profile in the area of bilingualism, research
output which is internationally excellent, and a track record of grant
capture. An additional research or teaching specialisation in phonetics
and phonology would also be an advantage, as would an interest in
sociolinguistics. We aim to appoint a highly motivated academic with
skills in research leadership and the ability to secure funding for new
research projects.
The successful candidate will commence 1st September 2006 or as soon as
possible thereafter.
