Call for Papers
Concentric: Studies in Linguistics
The journal 'Concentric: Studies in Linguistics' is a refereed,
international journal published biannually by the Department of English,
National Taiwan Normal University. While previous issues were published in
June and December, beginning in 2006 the journal is published in January
and July. A special theme is usually chosen for each issue, but papers on
all aspects of theoretical and applied linguistics are welcomed. The
language of publication is English. The forthcoming issue will be devoted
(but not restricted) to the theme 'Sociolinguistics' for Concentric 33.1
and 'Language and Cognition' for Concentric 33.2, respectively. The
deadline for manuscripts intended as special topic submissions for
Concentric 33.1 is September 30, 2006, and that for Concentric 33.2 is
March 31, 2007. However, manuscripts are accepted throughout the year.

Submissions
Manuscripts for publication, books for review, review articles, and
correspondence relating thereto should be addressed to the Editor of
Concentric: Studies in Linguistics (Department of English, National Taiwan
Normal University, 162 Hoping East Road, Section 1, Taipei, Taiwan, 106;
concentric.ling at deps.ntnu.edu.tw).
Manuscripts
1. Preferably, articles should be submitted electronically, as e-mail
attachments, in Word for Windows (or in its PDF version if there are
special symbols included). Other formats are possible; please contact the
editor first.
2. To facilitate the blind review process, authors' names and affiliations
should appear only on a cover sheet, not on the title page.
3. Except for inset quotations and footnotes in single space, manuscripts
must be double-spaced and typeset in 12-point Times New Roman. Papers
should follow the format of the Language style sheet, and are normally
limited to 30 pages in length, including a 150-word abstract and some key
words.
4. The journal will not consider for publication papers being
simultaneously submitted elsewhere.
5. Please indicate if your paper is on the special theme.
6. The author(s) will receive one copy of the journal, fifteen off-prints
of the article, and the e-copy of the paper in its PDF version upon
publication. It is the journal's policy to require assignment of copyright
from all authors.
