Commencing in September 2006, this permanent appointment requires academic
leadership in Applied Linguistics and in particular the English Language
Section. You will enhance the research profile and culture of Modern Languages
and of Applied Linguistics in particular; possess an outstanding international
research record and successful experience of attracting, recruiting and
supervising high quality research students. A good first degree and PhD in a
relevant area is essential. Salary negotiable with the successful candidate.

pension scheme. The University is set in one of the most beautiful areas of
Southern Britain yet close to London and Europe.
