Description:

The world recognized leading developer of speech solutions for mobile
devices is seeking an experienced Speech Language Developer with a
background in speech/language processing to help us develop our
multi-lingual embedded speech technologies and applications.  We are
looking for a Masters-level language developer with prior experience
developing speech systems. Candidates must have a working language
knowledge of one or more European languages, be highly attentive to detail,
and be able to prioritize work based on project and language priorities.
The project is estimated to require 40 hours per week for approximately 6
months and will be located in the Boston area.

Job Activities:

- Work with the international product development team to define and
develop products in several European languages
- Consult with team to solve speech synthesis research problems
- Provide linguistic expertise for language development
- Help evaluate potential voice talents 

Skills/Experience:

- Working knowledge of one or more of French, German, Spanish, Italian
and/or Portuguese
- Proven ability to take a pragmatic approach to solving linguistic problems
- Experience working with written/spoken language corpora
- Familiarity with computer readable pronunciation lexica and/or tagged
language corpora
- Fluency in script-like programming languages (e.g. Perl, Python)
- Previous experience with language/voice development a plus
