English Language. As a leading member of Modern Languages within the School
of Humanities, you will contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of
international research excellence in languages and linguistics at
Southampton, and promote further development of undergraduate and
postgraduate programmes in English language/ applied linguistics/ English
language teaching.

You will have a distinguished record of research in any area of modern
English language, though we would welcome in particular applications from
scholars with research interests in English as an International Language/
