Job Description: The University of Toronto at Mississauga (UTM), Department
of French, German and Italian (FGI), invites applications for a one-year
term appointment (non-renewable) at the rank of Lecturer in Linguistics,
effective September 1, 2006. The successful candidate will teach various
courses at the undergraduate level. We are particularly interested in a
person who can teach LIN 231H (Morphological Patterns in Language), LIN
232H (Syntactic Patterns in Language), LIN 376 (Introduction to Romance
linguistics) as well as other undergraduate courses (for a total courseload
of 3.5). It is expected that this person will have some involvement in
course coordination and teaching assistant supervision. 

The successful applicant will have a Ph.D. in Linguistics or ABD, an
excellent academic record and demonstrated excellence in teaching. Salary
will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The successful
candidate will be located in the Department of French, German and Italian,
Linguistics Program, University of Toronto at Mississauga (UTM).
