We'd like to remind readers that the responses to queries are usually
best posted to the individual asking the question. That individual is
then strongly encouraged to post a summary to the list. This policy was
instituted to help control the huge volume of mail on LINGUIST; so we
would appreciate your cooperating with it whenever it seems appropriate.
In addition to posting a summary, we'd like to remind people that it
is usually a good idea to personally thank those individuals who have
taken the trouble to respond to the query.
To post to LINGUIST, use our convenient web form at

Subject: Concordance Programme for Windows
Dear linguists,
I was wondering if anybody could recommend a concordance programme for
spoken corpora that works on PCs (possibly one similar to the Concorder for
Mac)? One that's compatible with Goldvarb would be the best solution for me.
I'll place a summary of the suggestions on linguist-list.
Thanks in advance for your advice,
Heike

Subject: Locatives
I've been studying locative modifiers for my master's thesis. There are two
specific aspects of locatives that I am interested in: restrictions on
order of locatives and locatives as predicate of small clauses. Yet I can't
find relevant studies. Thus I will welcome citations about these topics. My
subject language is Turkish, but I will also welcome other languages.
Thanks in advance to everyone who answers or not.
