Description:
Winston-Salem State University invites applications for two tenure-track
positions at the Assistant Professor level to begin August 15, 2006. Applicants
must have a Ph.D. in ESL or in Applied Linguistics or English with a
concentration in ESL from an accredited institution. ABD will be considered for
the rank of instructor.
Requirements include at least two years experience teaching at a culturally
diverse liberal arts institution, demonstrated potential for scholarly research
and record of professional involvement. Successful candidate will teach courses
in applied linguistics and English-as-a-Second Language to undergraduate and
graduate students; perform other departmental duties which may include
developing curriculum, serving on committees, and advising students; engage in
scholarly research and grant writing.
