Meeting Description:
InterPhases, a conference on interfaces in current syntactic theory, will be held 18-20 May 2006 at Casteliotissa Hall in Nicosia (Old Town), organized by Kleanthes K. Grohmann (University of Cyprus, Department of English Studies).

InterPhases will take place at Casteliotissa Hall in the Old Town of Nicosia, Cyprus, 18-20 May, 2006.
The keynote address will be delivered by Prof. Noam Chomsky (MIT) and there will be invited talks by Prof. Richard Kayne (NYU), Prof. Howard Lasnik (University of Maryland), and Prof. Gereon Müller (Universität Leipzig). In addition there will be 21 oral presentations and two poster sessions of 14-15 presentations each, which will be displayed throughout the conference.
InterPhases is part of the 6-day Cyprus Syntaxfest, which also includes Edges in Syntax (organized at Cyprus College by Phoevos Panagiotidis), the Leventis Lecture by Prof. Noam Chomsky (17 May, 7pm), andthe Inauguration Ceremony for the honorary doctorate awarded to Prof. Chomsky by the University of Cyprus (18 May, 7pm). The social activities will include the conference dinner (19 May, 9pm) and the KJ Syntax Party (20 May, ''8 till late'').
