Meeting Description:
In July 2003 the University of Durham, UK, closed the Department of Linguistics and English Language, relocating most activities to the University of Newcastle's School of English Literature, Language and Linguistics. In the context of the graduation of Durham's last cohort of undergraduate linguistics majors/single honours students in June 2006, a week-end-long event will mark the achievements of the Department and thank colleagues and friends for their support. The event kicks off with talks by former Durham staff, and an open poster conference. Informal events, including competitions (with prizes) and a party, round out the week-end.
