Dissertation Abstract:
Using thematic, relational, and ideational metafunctions in MAK Halliday's
Systemic Functional Grammar, this disseration analyzes Alice Walker's point
of view as regards gender sensitivity, ethnicity, and class struggle.
The research study applies some statistical procedures to quantify the
angle of narration in the short story 'Everyday Use.'
