Grammaticalization in Greek
Special thematic session during the ICGL 8
A special thematic session "Grammaticalization in Greek" will be held during the ICGL 8.
The purpose of the session is to bring together scholars who are currently working on issues of grammaticalization in the Greek language. The session invites contributions that present new empirical studies or new theoretical approaches to issues of grammaticalization in Greek.
Possible topics include, but are not limited to:
- grammaticalization in Medieval Greek
- on-going processes of grammaticalization
- grammaticalization in Greek dialects and varieties
- grammaticalization in Greek in typological perspective
The time allotted to presentations is 20 minutes, plus 10 minutes for discussion.
Submission Details:
Please note that submission details should conform to the requirements of the conference. Please submit an abstract as a pdf file, if possible. MSWord is acceptable if the abstract contains no special fonts. Only electronic submissions will be accepted. Abstracts should be anonymous, no longer than one page, with a font no smaller than 11 pt and have a 2.5 cm (1 inch) margin on all sides.
Papers may be in Greek or English.
Please include all your information--name, affiliation, and title of the paper--in the body of your e-mail.
