Description:
A tenure-track appointment is intended in the area of East Asian
Linguistics, with particular reference to Japanese and Korean. Applicants
should have the Ph.D. degree by the start of appointment and will be
expected to participate in undergraduate and graduate teaching and
independent research. Applicants should have research specialization in
both Japanese and Korean linguistics. The preferred area of specialization
is historical/comparative linguistics, although candidates with
specializations in other areas of Japanese and Korean linguistics will also
be considered. Advanced linguistic proficiency in both Japanese and
Korean is required.
