Description:
The Department of Linguistics at the Ohio State University seeks candidates
for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Sociolinguistics, starting
Autumn 2007. The area of specialization within Sociolinguistics is open.
Candidates are expected to have their Ph.D. completed by the time of the
appointment.
The new assistant professor will be expected to have an active research agenda,
which includes an active record of publication; to meet departmental teaching
standards of excellence; and to perform service duties as required by the
department and the university.
We especially welcome applications from candidates who are at the cutting edge
of current research in sociolinguistics.
