We'd like to remind readers that the responses to queries are usually
best posted to the individual asking the question. That individual is
then strongly encouraged to post a summary to the list. This policy was
instituted to help control the huge volume of mail on LINGUIST; so we
would appreciate your cooperating with it whenever it seems appropriate.
In addition to posting a summary, we'd like to remind people that it
is usually a good idea to personally thank those individuals who have
taken the trouble to respond to the query.

Subject: EFL Optimal Exposure Density
Dear linguists,
Greetings from Tehran the capital city of Iran. My name is Arash Behazin. I
am a PhD candidate at the University of Esfahan.
I have been studying the effects of 5 different exposure densities, namely
Low Exposure Density (LED), Mid-Low Exposure Density (MLED), Mid Exposure
Density (MED), Mid-High Exposure Density (MHED) and High Exposure Density
(HED) on learning and retention of a number of vocabulary and structure
items defined as the target EFL knowledge in
my research.
Density of exposure is also defined as the amount of exposure (or the
number of formal instruction sessions) per a unit of time (a week).
The assessment tasks have been of two types of recognition and written
production. The results have been interesting so far in answering one of
the questions of my research; ''If there is an optimal density exposure
band within which EFL learners' performance is enhanced?''
I would like to seek your support to access the related literature on the
theoretical issues of ''Human's limited mental capacity'' and the relevant
literature of the ''Exposure'' in EFL.
Thank you very much in advance, and all the best regards!
Arash
