Description:
The Department of English seeks applications for a tenure-track Assistant
Professor, beginning August 2007, to teach a range of undergraduate and
graduate courses in linguistics, including the history of the language,
English grammar, and introductory linguistics. Normal teaching load is
3/2, with opportunities for release time for research. PhD by time of
appointment strongly preferred. Candidates should demonstrate evidence of
promise in scholarship and commitment to success in university-level teaching.
