Description:
The Department of Spanish & Portuguese at the University of Colorado,
Boulder invites applications for a tenure-track Asst. Professor (ABD or
PhD) in Hispanic Linguistics.
Qualifications: The successful applicant will have a research program in
Hispanic linguistics and have a strong background in linguistic theory.
Area of specialization is open but candidates working in text/corpus
linguistics, grammaticalization, and/or language variation and change are
preferred. Candidates should be able to demonstrate evidence of ongoing
research, excellence in teaching, and native or near-native fluency in
English and Spanish.
Application details: All candidates should arrange for a letter of
application, curriculum vitae, teaching evaluations, a writing sample, and
three (3) letters of recommendation to be sent to the following address.
Please indicate in the letter whether or not you will be available for an
interview at the 2006 MLA Meeting in Philadelphia, PA, December 27-30,
