Description:
Applications are invited for the position of Research Fellow (Level A) in
the Multimodal Analysis Lab in the Interactive Digital Media Institute
(IDMI) at the National University of Singapore. IDMI is a university-level
research institute for cutting edge creative digital media research. The
successful candidate will take part in an interdisciplinary research
project which aims to develop new approaches to multimodal analysis of
visual images, video texts and interactive digital sites using digital
media technology. The appointment will initially be made for one year,
followed by a two-year contract renewal. The post is available from 1
August 2007.
The candidate should have a PhD in linguistics, social semiotics, multimodality
or related field, a strong commitment to research, and a sound record of
international publications. The candidate should have (or have the potential to
develop) an international standing in their field of research.
The salary range is $60,000 - $94,920. Benefits for non-Singaporean
candidates include travel assistance/settling-in allowance and a housing
subsidy.
