Subject: An Intelligent Man's Answer to Linguistic Truisms
Here is an article which fascinated me. Every single one of the linguistic
truisms about linguistic equality we hold so dear are taken to task, by a
non-linguist. And I found myself thinking that, even though he doesn't
know all the details or the finer points of the theories he discusses, he
shows a real, though non-expert, understanding of them. I came away
thinking: he'll make linguists mad, but this guy's got a point.
