The Department of Modern Languages at The University of Mississippi invites
applicants for a full-time, tenure-track facutly position at the rank of
Assistant Professor. This position will begin in August 2007.
Qualifications/Skills: Ph.D in Linguistics, Applied Linguistics or related
field. Job Responsibilities: Teaching undergraduate and graduate general
linguistics, specialty courses such as dialectology, language and gender
and other sociolinguistics; advising linguistics majors; building a
publication record; and participation in departmental and university service.
