Description:
The University of Alberta, Department of Educational Psychology, invites
applications for a two-year, full-time, 12 months per year, Academic
appointment in Teaching English as a Second Language, effective July 1,
2007. The appointment will be at the Assistant Professor level. Salary will
be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Applicants should have
a PhD in TESL or equivalent. Teaching experience in both ESL and TESL
settings is necessary, as are evidence of a strong commitment to scholarly
research and publication in the fields of SLA and TESL. The successful
applicant will bring enthusiasm, academic strength, and collaborative
abilities to the TESL program; will be responsible for teaching courses at
both the undergraduate and graduate level; and will be expected to
participate in the academic and administrative activities of the department.

three referees, a statement of research interests, teaching evaluations,
and samples of scholarly work should be submitted to the address below.
