Brill is very pleased to announce its support for the Linguist List.
Following the recent launch of their first catalog in the field of
Languages & Linguistics in March 2007, becoming a supporting publisher of
the Linguist List is a natural step.

Albert Hoffstädt, senior acquisition's editor, comments: ''I think the
Linguist List is a great forum for linguists and it's a unique platform to
keep-up-to-date on the field. It's therefore only natural that we should
support such a forum and I must admit: the exciting fund drive certainly
helped to pull us on board!''

Over the years Brill has gradually built up a strong reputation in the
field of Languages & Linguistics, with a special focus on Afroasiatic,
Asian, African and Indo-European Languages.

Recent examples of these are the much-acclaimed Encyclopedia of Arabic
Languages & Linguistics, the Indo-European Etymological Dictionary Series
and the endangered languages of the Himalaya, published in the series:
Languages of the Greater Himalaya.

The first catalog exclusively devoted to the field of Languages &
Linguistics, published March 2007, presents you with a full overview of the
complete range of our Languages & Linguistics publications, ranging from
dictionaries, grammars and lexicons, to textbooks, encyclopedias and
bibliographies.

Call for proposals
Brill is further strengthening its tradition of excellence established over
the years and is energetically exploring new publishing alleys. One of
these is further developing our list on Languages & Linguistics. For more
