================================================================
The LINGUIST List strongly encourages employers to use
non-discriminatory standards in hiring policy. In particular we urge
that employers do not discriminate on the grounds of race, ethnicity,
nationality, age, religion, gender, or sexual orientation. However, we
have no means of enforcing these standards.
Job seekers should pay special attention to language in ads regarding
employment requirements and are encouraged to consult our international
employment page http://linguistlist.org/jobs/jobnet.html. This page has been set
up so that people can report on the employment standards of various countries.

University or Organization: Accelovation, Inc.
Department: NL
Web Address: http://www.accelovation.com/
Job Rank: Annotator
Specialty Areas: General Linguistics
Required Language(s): English (eng)
Description:
Seeking annotators for part time, contract work. Good job for grad
students. Prefer PhD track or higher. Work is on project-by-project basis.
Pay is $15/hr. Projects vary in task-types and sophistication. Mostly
analyze and annotate data in excel spreadsheets. Prefer native or
native-ability in English - frequently requires fine-grained intuitive
assessments. Must be able to work in the US. Annotators set their own
hours. Many projects are developed in-process, and annotators contribute to
establishment of criteria and methods. The organic process sometimes looks
messy, but it's a lot of fun. There is an 'audition' project before actual
hiring.
