An interdisciplinary conference on humor 

We welcome linguists, literary scholars, and psychologists, whose academic
interests incorporate humor in the broadest sense of the term. The following are
some suggestions for the possible research topics:

Theories of humor, humor and creativity, allusion, ambiguity, paradox, parody,
''nonsense'', satire, political humor (including political correctness), humor
in advertising, humorous cartoons, comic strips, Internet humor, humor and
stereotypes, humor and cultural differences, gender and humor, the psychology of
humor, humor and translation, wordplay, humorous fiction, humorous poetry,
slang, wit, joke patterns, humorous riddles, children's humor, classroom humor.
