Description:

The Institute of Computational Linguistics (University of Zurich,
Switzerland) has an immediate opening for a PhD student (50%) to carry out
research in the area of coreference resolution. The position is funded by
the Swiss National Science Foundation.

Duration: 3 years.
Salary: Beginning salary CHF 38'400/y, rising to CHF 44'400/y .

The ideal candidate should have a strong background in computational
linguistics, especially statistical NLP including machine learning (MSc, or
equivalent). A keen interest in the topic of anaphora resolution and the
will to pursue a doctoral degree in Computational Linguistics at the
University of Zurich are expected. Excellent command of German is required.
