Dear all,

I'm writing a PhD on the L2 acquisition of English inflectional morphology,
and I'm thinking of using Sri Lankan university students as one of my L1
groups. I'd like some advice about this. 

Ideally, I need to obtain data from L2ers at various levels of English
proficiency; at the very least, I need data from intermediate and
upper-intermediate speakers. My concern is that the proficiency of this
particular L1 group will generally be too high for my purposes.

If you know something about the proficiency of this group, one good way to
indicate this would be in terms of IELTS scores. I've worked as an IELTS
examiner, so this would give me a fairly accurate idea.  

Any assistance or advice would be greatly appreciated.
