SWL3 - Financial support for young researchers

The 'Syntax of the World's Languages' conference series provides a forum
for linguists working on less widely studied languages or varieties of
languages, with a clear focus on the data (preferably first-hand data).

The organizers of SWL3 have funds to provide financial support (travel
expenses up to 300,-) for two young researchers who have not yet completed
their PhD, or who have received it within the last two years. The grant
will be awarded on the basis of the abstracts submitted (quality and
originality). All other things being equal, applicants from developing
countries will be given preference.

Prospective participants who have sent us their abstracts already can
inform us of their wish to apply for the grant in a separate e-mail.

Candidates with a doctoral degree should indicate the date their PhD was
awarded.
