The outcomes of the 2007 series of Change Requests for ISO 639 "Codes for
the representation of names of languages - Part 3" have been announced and
implemented. There were 258 requests that received consideration; ten of
these are still pending. A summary of the outcomes can be seen on the ISO
639-3 website home page (http://www.sil.org/iso639-3/), where there is also
a link to a detailed report of outcomes for each of the requests.

The 2008 series of change requests will soon be visible in the Change
Request Index, as they are received and processed. See them (and the
remaining pending 2007 requests) at
http://www.sil.org/iso639-3/chg_requests.asp. This page permits sorting in
various ways and has links to specific documentation for each change being
proposed. Proposals for 2008 will be accepted up until September 1, 2008,
and will be formally under review from September 15 - December 15. Outcomes
will be announced for these proposals in January 2009.
