Description:
We are seeking to build a US development staff for our growing,
NLP-oriented company. We hold patented intellectual property in automatic
text analysis and other NLP-related disciplines. We have built a successful
business in Europe, and are expanding our operations into the USA. The team
is in the process of creating an exciting, new software product to enter a
new line of business. As a company, we are committed to bringing NLP out of
the lab and into the marketplace.
We will fill a number of development positions, starting with experienced
C++ developers with credentials in computational linguistics. Ideal
candidates will have as many as possible of the following qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years professional experience developing applications in
C++ is a must
- Experience with Linux is a plus
- A degree in computational linguistics with some concentration in computer
science
- Experience in the building of domain-specific ontologies is useful
- Experience in statistical analysis and machine learning
- Proven ability to design, create and maintain highly efficient, elegant
C++ code in support of NLP-related applications
- A team-oriented work style
- Evidence of solid methodological foundations in the development of
applications
- A deep passion both for computational linguistics and application development
- Ability and desire to hit the ground running on new projects and
responsibilities: self-starters are preferred
