Description:

Starting as soon as possible, the Carl-von-Ossietzky University Oldenburg
offers a position in  English Linguistics running for 3 years. Salary level
will be according to German public employee pay scale 13 TV-L.*

Tasks:
Research in the areas of language acquisition and/or formal syntax in the
framework of a personal PhD project; participation in research projects in
First, Second and Third Language Acquisition or Language
Processing/Production; teaching one course per term in the area of formal
linguistics or language acquisition; participation in administrative work.

Required is a Masters (or Staatsexamen) degree in English with excellent
grades and a focus on linguistics.  

Desired are work in linguistics focused on (generative) Syntax Theories and
Language Acquisition; knowledge of a further European language (apart from
German and English).
