Meeting Description: 

Since 2004, The Ohio State University Department of Linguistics has held a
day-long workshop on Martin Luther King Jr. Day (see
http://www.ling.ohio-state.edu/~bsmith/mlk/ for details). The 6th Annual MLK Day
Linguistics Symposium will be held on January 19, 2009,discussing the nexus of
Biology and Linguistics.  This event is the result of a several-year-long
collaboration between biologists and linguists at OSU exploring methodological
and thematic parallels between our two fields. 

It is open to the public; for further information, contact Brian Joseph at
